Internships
Overview
As part of their program at HUBS, students are placed in professional internships for the duration of the academic year. They gain the tools for success through applying theoretical and analytical concepts to real-life business challenges.
We believe in internships because students…
- Gain substantial working experience in a leading company
- Increase their chances of finding employment during or shortly after the program
- Create a professional network with entrepreneurs in the field
- Acquire first-hand knowledge of the business ecosystem
Placements can be:
- with a venture capitalist who has proven evidence of successful investments in entrepreneurship and innovation companies
OR
- at a startup, funded by a venture capitalist, that is currently in the process of developing a business strategy
Once a week between October and July, students visit one of the organizations collaborating with HUBS and take part in organizational tasks and procedures, such as financial analyses, business strategy building, marketing, research and development, etc.
Students also meet regularly with the internship coordinator as well as participating in interactive soft skills workshops where they receive guidance in writing their resume, self-presentation, using LinkedIn etc.. There are also monthly evaluations wherein students discuss and analyze their internships.
The internship is worth 4 credits.
